Tale of two Cities
Canadian BlueThe first half against Spurs we looked like we were going to run away with the game. But the second half we looked like giving the game away until the introduction of SWP. What do you guys think?
hhf8agree toatlly,2day told me a couple of things,bosvelt is ****e and keeps doin the one trick by flickin it 4 ward,he shud be replaced b joey,trev shud be on the left with swp on the right,also sibierski shud play up front off the striker he is fairly quick and can find space to run into,
mugshotHello again, Canadian. The lack of confidence when we didn't get a second goal was obvious. Also I can't understand how SWP was not started when Sibierski was on the left. Reyna showed his worth with a few decent passes through the defence. hhf8 is right about Sibierski too, and he is good with his head especially when the ball is delivered with pace. We were really sh1tting ourselves for the first 20 mins of the second half, too. You could almost read the players thoughts - "the equaliser is due soon" !! Belief is needed (along with team stability).
mugshotPS What does "hhf8" stand for?
hhf8HHf8=Heinz Harald Frentzen Number 8, he was a f1 driver,Very sad...i know
mugshotYou and one E. Jordan then?
mancityheelwe easily could have conceded not 1 but 3 goals in the first 20 minutes of the 2nd half. They had like 5 or 6 corners in about 5 minute spell. Over the 90 minutes though we had the better chances and should have won...again. Macken's miss was glaring, and Reyna, who played a terrific game overall, should have done better when he was played in by Sun Jihai late in the first half. Fowler also should have gone for goal himself when he was in the clear in the 2nd half. I like Sibierski but is it me or does he seem invisible for long stretches? If he is in there just to finish then play him as a striker but I'm not sure the other guys are looking to play the ball to him in the midfield. Also, I worry about leaving Macca out for so long...he's not had a game this month, has he? Granted he hasn't set the league on fire but that's too much talent to just put on the shelf and not even use as a sub. obviously hope we win the replay but going to Old Trafford with Ellegaard between the sticks is not an inspiring prospect...and that would be a tough game to hand a debut to the new GK from Iceland too.
Frank SwiftFingers are crossed...
hhf8this icelandic bloke must be really bad,stuhr has no confidence he doesn't get out of his 6 yard box and he is embarassing for the corners
colin333When you think of the keepers we have recently had blue nose and ponytail,and the cat as coach you would think he would have learned from them.I belive it was Tony Coton who discoverd U*DS keeper in the states,and Big Joe is at the pool,so we are doing something wrong in this (and the defensive)department city since 67
mancityheelthere are at least 3 more American keepers who could play in Europe--Adin Brown for New England Revolution, Jonny Walker for New York Metrostars, and Zach Thornton of Chicago Fire--but probably never will be able to get enough caps to squeeze through a work permit. All 3 of those guys are way, way ahead of Ellegaard, but I like Ellegaard...he will be a good player eventually and he hasn't done THAT bad these last couple of games, though the corner was embarrassing.
hhf8whenever i see him,i'm just waiting for him to make a mistake
Canadian Blueyou guys got to rememeber that Ellegaard is only a kid and he isn't even supposed to be in the side for a few more years yet. He got rushed in to it due to Seaman being crap and Weaver hurting his knee everytime he steps off the operating table. All in all he has done well for a kid not yet worthy of Prem football, lets hope this will only help him in the future to aspire to great things and also lets hope he stays injury free. As for this the new keeper from Iceland, I hear he was injured when they brought him in, is that true? If so what the hell were they thinking? Anyway I hope we beat Spurs and then we can get redemption for the league loss and knock out Man U from the cup.
ziggyi dont know wot macmanaman actually does at city he is just abit part player coming on 4 cameos i think he was just brought in 4 fowler he has not made any real contribution 2 any game i thought after real he would bring in much experience a overpaid mistake ziggy
