But enough of that I have a m8 called Long, he's a vietnamese U19 excellent player aswell free agent in the summer Man Utd don't want him anymore they think he's not gonna develop but Sam Alladyce begs to differ we nicknamed him Cristiano Ronaldo [:)]. | city4eva | yeah hes 14, i admitt that he could let it all go, but the amount of clubs that has shown interest in him. i think he has a sponsorship with `Nike` from what ive heard. ive never seen anything of him myself but ive heard he is ****-hot. but i cant see us as getting him personally. |

| Canadian Blue | Freddy Adu signed with a team in the MLS, for a 4 or 5 year contract. In my mind this will do nothing but damage his potential. He should have gone to a european club |

| mancityheel | I'm hopefully going to attend Freddy Adu's professional debut for DC United on April 3rd--will file a report if it works out. He is already a tremendous player and has his head on his shoulders. Canadian, he couldn't have signed for a European club until age 18 unless he relocated his family and they didn't want to do that having just settled after the move from Ghana. Also, Adu has a little brother who also plays though I think he is only 10 or 11 at the moment. I also think that playing first-team football in MLS for a few years (3 seasons probably) will not be any worse for him than being in the reserves (mostly) at a big club abroad. The standard of MLS is comparable to the English First Division, it's not as bad as people think. At age 18 I expect him to go to a big club and he'll have loads of experience--including international, he will be in the US World Cup squad in 2006--by then and should be ready to make a major impact. If that happens, how can you say an 18 year old with a regular role at a big club is "behind" where he should be? |
