Lets shut them up and end their party......show em how champions play.
They were rubbish against Man U when they lost 1-0. |

I think they'll be weaker than us after the CL games and we are at home. Still, they're top of the league and you have to respect that. It's time to close the gap however and give us another comfortable win. We finally showed during the week that (mainly our second string at least) we are capable of fighting when our backs are against the wall. And an away win too... green shoots of recovery? Let's hope so.

2-1 up at half time and could have been 4-2. YaYa gave the ball away for the first goal and Panty was caught a bit flat footed but I was very impressed with YaYa's approach after that as he eased into third gear and started making more of an impression on the game especially with a gorgeous pass to Zabs to set up the second goal.
Aguero off with what is hopefully just a minor strain and even Fernandinho has got in on the action with a great finish... 3-1 up and this is an excellent game of football. Navas is now on and I think that's a good move by MP. Come on City!

great result. giving up three goals peeves my sense of what a good disciplined defensive effort should be, (yaya's silly give away for their goal confirms a lot of comments here), but what the hell, i'll take the three points and the entertainment and smile knowing that we are surely the fave for the league now.
Best duo where? Oh! Negredo, Aguero!! |

Went to the game and the 3 absolutely flatters them. We could have had 10.

I've been considering this statement that I'm about to make for a while now - I feel it's fair to say that today's performance is the absolute best I have ever seen from a City team. Leaving aside the goals (and some of them were second to none) every single player with the possible exception of Pantomime man has a very good game. I know Fernandiho got MOTM but despite his 2 goals and very good performance I would have chosen Kompany. In fact you could have chosen anyone and there could be no arguments. We beat a very very good Arsenal team today, one with the best defensive record in years, no we wiped them out! In doing so didn't get into top gear except when it was needed to put some daylight between us and them. I'm not given to eulogising about City but I have to be honest, I'm certain that we're going to win this League probably by a margin and probably with the most goals ever scored by a winning team. And you know what? IT'S BUCKING FRILLIANT!!!!!!!! |

Wenger has been quoted as saying that City are no better than Everton and Southampton, that would surely put them on par with Palace and Fulham
Little by little, one travels far. |

good post mugshot - it is difficult to think of a better performance but then there have been quite a few of these at home this season so let's hope that our decent away form continues - it's hard to imagine anyone being able to take points off us at home at the moment so long may this form continue.
Mancqurian - I do think Wenger says some daft things sometimes, deflection pure and simple. At our best we are better than anyone else in the prem and most in Europe as well. It doesn't take a qualified coach to assess that. Arsenal are still a very good side and defensively they had a bad day at the office and faded badly due to their exertions previously in the week. Our squad is a lot better in depth than theirs and we are starting to get to that stage of the season where the strength of the squad is called upon. This is a test that Arsenal probably won't pass unless they strengthen in January. I still expect them to be there or thereabouts given their excellent start to the season. They've a massive game coming up next at home to Chelski.
